It all began 10 years ago, with 2 willing women and 8 juveniles. These women wanted to give young people a place to talk about their problems, a place to figure out different ways to handle situations in their lives and a place to feel loved and supported. As this humble endeavor began, we had no idea of the miracles God had in store. We did not realize, at the time, that God had started a great work with only a tiny seed of love and faith. Our intention was to help as many teenagers as we could, but our loving Heavenly Father intended much more for His precious little lambs and for His program. I am here today to tell you about God’s outreach to children and families within our community and hopefully beyond, through what He began and continues to do today. One ordinary Monday afternoon we began our group. We named this group PALS (Positive Attitude & Life Skills). The young people in this group faced serious problems in their lives. Despite the difficulties they faced, these precious children were just that, children. They were not evil or cruel; there were simply hurting, angry and terribly confused.
